Author and photographer Marc Shargel will discuss his book, “Wonders of the Sea Volume Three: Hidden Treasures of California’s Far North Coast,” which documents the world underwater and the marine protected areas along the shore. Concert : 7 p.m. July 1 at the WorldBeat Cultural Center, 2100 Park Blvd., Balboa Park. MC Yogi will perform “celebrating freedom and liberation” with yoga-inspired hip-hop. Summer concert series : 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. July 2 at Bird Park, 28th and Thorn streets, North Park. The Stoney B Blues Band will perform. Audience members can bring snacks and kick back on the grass while listening to the music, socializing or dancing. Free. Information: northparksd.org.

Family and Freedom Fest 2011 : 11 a.m. July 2 at Admrial Baker Park, 2400 Admiral Baker Road, Mission Valley. This festival features food, music by Trevor Davis and Jerry “Hotrod” Demink Band, Steve Yuhas from KOGO 600AM will emcee, Rep. Duncan Hunter will speak and there will be activities for children. Hello, Shockwave! Welcome to another week of great download games ! Have you had a chance to check out Hotel Dash 2: Lost Luxuries? Those folks in DinerTown sure are busy. Cory’s Weekly Update! Hi Shockwavers! I hope you all are ready because we’ve got some spectacular games coming up next week. But before we get to that, what did everyone think of last week’s games? Leave me a comment letting me know what YOUR favorite game was! I personally loved Margrave 3, but that may have been because I have an unexplainable infatuation with British accents. Anyway…let’s talk about some of the awesome games we have coming up! We’ve got some great titles this week including Jewel Quest Mysteries 3: The Seventh Gate (which comes out tomorrow, July 13), Stand O’ Food 3, and my personal favorite, Empress of the Deep 2: Song of the Blue Whale.
