Update: Your Guide To Local Fireworks, Fourth of July Festivities
The Fourth of July weekend is offically here.
For those staying in the area this weekend, there are plenty of choices when it comes to area fireworks displays.
Below we’ve provided you with a guide for local Fourth of July festivities and fireworks. Let us know if we’ve missed one of your favorite displays by posting in the comments section below. Fourth of July Fireworks Display Guide
Huntley — Huntley Outlet Center, 11800 Factory Shops Blvd. Fireworks start at dusk Monday.
Fireworks will be shot over the field adjacent to the mall.
All-day activities include a sidewalk sale. Stores will open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Capacity is 1,750 parking spaces.

Crystal Lake Community Fireworks Display — Crystal Lake Main Beach, 300 Lake Shore Drive. Fireworks start at dusk on Sunday, July 3.
Fireworks sponsored by the city of Crystal Lake will be shot over the lake beginning at dusk. Viewing available from Crystal Lake Main Beach. Regular beach and parking admission prices apply for people arriving before 3 p.m.
After 3 p.m., beach admission is $2 per person with $10 maximum per family (immediate family members only). Parking after 3 p.m. in the Main Beach parking lot is free for residents with a city sticker, and $5 for nonresidents.
The fireworks culminate a day filled with the parade at 1 p.m. sponsored by the Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce, and the 32nd Lakeside Festival held at the historic Dole mansion, 401 Country Club Road. The festival, located across from Main Beach, offers food from local restaurants, entertainment and carnival rides.

Wonder Lake — Center Beach, near Hancock and East Lake Shore drives in Wonder Lake. Fireworks start at dusk Sunday.
The show follows a day of events including food vendors, a parade and Children’s Zone and games starting at 1:30 p.m., held next to the Wonder Lake Chamber of Commerce, 7602 Hancock Drive. A free art show will be held at Dockside Tavern building on East Lakeshore Drive.
The Wonder Lake Ski Team show begins at 4:30 p.m. at the Center Beach, Hancock Drive and East Lake Shore Drive.

Hoffman Estates Fourth of July Festival – Village Hall Grounds, 1900 Hassell Road. Fireworks start at 9:30 p.m. Monday.
Patch Ski Club - News
Make sure to bring your own lawn chairs or blanket for seating. The show can be up to two hours long, so wearing sunblock or bringing something for shade is a must. The shows will be off of Jefferson
I had a great tiime covering the Water Ski Club's show on Monday. They do an remarkable job putting their show together, and you can tell everyone has done a lot of practice and preparation.
I posted some more photos from the Ski Club show earlier this morning. This is a great opportunity for photographers, lots of action and color. Even my little Sony point-and-shoot got some great shots. We're going to be posting news from our neighbor
